CoTweet helps organizations manage and maintain multiple Twitter and Facebook accounts, as well as monitor what's being said in the Twitterverse. The company had an outstanding website and additionally wanted to offer fully functional, platform-specific mobile applications. In time for SXSW 2011, just 60 days away.
Developing mobile apps for the iPhone is one thing; the challenge increases significantly when including Android, Blackberry and Windows Mobile. Factor in the aggressive timeline—60 days, including each platform's app store submission process—and you have some idea of the Herculean challenge we accepted.
Working closely with CoTweet, we created robust, super-rich mobile applications for all major platforms. This effort included developing apps that take into account device-specific features and user interface conventions, like Cover Flow on the iPhone.
What We Did
- Created a fully featured, highly intuitive market-leading mobile application for the world's leading social media analytics company.
- Developed device-specific features for iPhone, Sprint's 4G Epic and Samsung's Galaxy Tab and Focus to name a few, on all major mobile platforms: iOS, Android and variants, including Honeycomb, Gingerbread and Froyo, Blackberry 4.5 and 5.0 and Windows Mobile.
- Created all apps on all platforms in 60 days.
- Managed the application submission process to multiple app stores on multiple carriers.
